Summer Snack | S'more Butterfly Trail Mix
Summer is coming to a close, but here is a snack you can enjoy year round to remind you of your summer camping trips!
All you need are Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal (but I used store brand, TASTES THE SAME, and cheaper if you're on a budget like we are), mini marshmallows, and chocolate chips.
I combined the cereal, marshmallows, and chocolate chips in a bowl and started sorting them into baggies. To make the butterfly, just divide the mix in the baggie into two sections and put a clothespin between the two sections.
Super cute snack that is fun for your kiddos!
Also great for teachers who teach thematic units! Camping is always a fun theme!
Enjoy!

A Letter to My Husband
Dear Brian,
I just want you to know what a blessing you have been in my life. You know who I was, you know what I’ve done, and you’ve never judged me. You have helped me create a new life that I can be proud of. You have helped me forget the past and make a future. I am so glad that God put you in my life and opened my eyes to what an amazing love we could have. My life has changed drastically since the day you asked me to be your girlfriend. I started believing in myself. You made me want to be a better person and made me want to make something of my life. You have encouraged me and supported me through so much. You have made so many of my dreams come true. I have done absolutely nothing in my life to deserve you. I only have God to thank because only He could perform such an amazing miracle. I am so proud of who you are and everything you do. You are patient, loving, caring, understanding, hardworking, and amazing. I am so grateful to have you as my husband, and as Aurora’s dad. I have been enjoying my life with you so much. I know Aurora will love her life with you as her dad, as much as I love my life with you as my husband. Thank you for everything you do. I love you so much.
Love,
Arlene

DIY Washi Tape Disney Wall Art with Cricut
So I am just a little bit obsessed with everything Disney. Aurora's nursery is all Disney (I basically just took all my Disney stuff out of my office and put it in her room!) so I decided to add a nice Bambi portrait using wash tape and my cricut!
If you want to create your own, you'll need a canvas. I just got one out of my craft closet. It was painted pink because I was going to do a project with it, but I never got around to it.
You'll want to start taping the wash tape across the canvas in the direction you want.
I decided to use a different pattern wash tape to put a border on the canvas. I also taped down the washi tape that was hanging off the sides and wrapped wash tape along the sides of the canvas.
I got on Cricut Design Space and chose one of the images I had already uploaded. You can choose whatever character you want.
I decided to go with Bambi.
I put my vinyl on my mat and loaded it into the Cricut so it could do it's thing!
Then I peeled off the excess vinyl and applied the transfer tape.
I used the transfer tape to apply it to my canvas with wash tape. One thing I would recommend doing, that I did't is cutting more of the transfer tape off just to trim it. It will make it easier when removing the transfer tape. You'll have to hold down the wash tape as you pull up the transfer tape so it doesn't come up.
And here is your wall art!! I love it! It looks amazing in Aurora's room.

My Disney Playlist
Before Aurora was born, I made her a Disney playlist and I listened to it while I was pregnant. Now that she is finally here, I play it for her all the time. Have Disney fanatics in your house? Here is my Disney playlist on Spotify!
Hope you and your kiddos enjoy it as much as Aurora and I do!

1) Bambi Swaddle Two-Pack - I love using these swaddles on Aurora! They're my absolute favorites. They are really big which allows me to swaddle her long body, and the material is thin which keeps her from getting too hot. These swaddles also come with other patterns: Lion King, Dumbo, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, & Winnie the Pooh.
2) Minnie Bath Swaddle - This is the best bath swaddle. It is the easiest towel to use when getting Aurora warm and dry! Also comes in Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse.
3) Cars Little Racer On Board Sign - These signs are a must when driving with a little one, and these Disney ones are adorable. Other characters available: Cinderella, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse
4) Mickey Mouse Stoller with Carseat - Your baby will be strolling in style in this Mickey Mouse stroller with matching carseat! Having a girl? They also have a Minnie Mouse Stroller with Carseat!
5) Finding Nemo Infant to Toddler Bath - Plan on doing a Disney bathroom theme? This Finding Nemo tub would be perfect! Or you might decide to go with a The Little Mermaid or Minnie Mouse theme! The possibilities are endless!
6) Winnie the Pooh Plush Playmat - This playmate is perfect for baby's tummy time. It's soft and plush which is easy on baby's little body. The mat is 36" which provides plenty of room for your baby to grow. You can also get Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse!
7) Minnie Mouse Swing - This Minnie Mouse swing is a lifesaver when trying to get Aurora to nap so I can get some things around the house done. I don't know what I would do without it!
8) Mickey Mouse Diaper Tote - This is definitely my favorite registry item! Diaper bags are not always the most fashionable accessory, but fortunately this Mickey Mouse tote is totes adorable! It's also spacious and easily accessible!

Getting Crafty: DIY Starbucks Ariel Decal
My heart was hurting for a Starbucks Ariel decal, so I filled my hearts desires and finally made one! I used a Circuit Explore Air 2 and Cricut Vinyl in Silver Glitter and Grape.
I googled Starbucks Ariel and found this image:
I, then, saved it to my computer and uploaded it into my Cricut images.
When you upload it, upload as a simple image and get rid of all the white sections.
Then save as a cut image.
Once that is done, insert the image into a new project.
I created a circle the same size as the image and placed it as a background.
I cut the circle into the Silver vinyl and the image into the purple vinyl.
Weed away the parts that are white.
Place your silver vinyl on your item, and your Ariel cut out directly on top.

Father's Day Gift Guide
Father's Day is three weeks away and it is time to start thinking about what to get your dad and/or husband! Both my dad and husband are pretty outdoorsy and like things like pocket knives. They're also kids at heart and enjoy fun things! I've put together a Father's Day Gift Guide based on things they would like but also included some items in case the men in your life could do without a pocket knife.

1) Pocket knife
My husband is always losing his pocket knives, so I know it's always a good gift. His favorite brands are Kershaw and Gerber which can be found at Academy in their hunting department.
2) Khaki/Camo Shorts
Summer is HOT in Texas! These guys can never have enough shorts. In fact, my dad specifically requested shorts for Father's Day! My dad prefers khaki, while my husband loves his camo. JC Penney has shorts for both of the men in my life at an affordable price.
3) Drone
Men can just be big kids at times, so why not give them something to play with? These things are crazy popular with kids AND men! Your husband and kids will definitely make some crazy fun memories while playing with a drone!
4) GoPro
Planning any family adventures this summer? Amazon has a great price on the GoPro Hero 4 with an adventure bundle! Perfect for capturing your summer fun memories!
5) Amazon Echo Dot
This thing is crazy awesome! Your husband will love being able to blast his music, control the thermostat, and so much more with this tiny device.
6) Dollar Shave Club Subscription
This would be a great gift that both you and your husband would enjoy! Admit it, we all enjoy a well-groomed man coming home from work.
7) A Personalized Gift
Etsy is the GO TO site for personalized gifts! Choose anything from a photo frame, mug, t-shirt, beer bottle openers, you name it! This will be my husband's first Father's Day so I plan on commemorating it with a special photo frame and picture. Visit Easy for tons of Father's Day Gifts!
8) DIY Gift
DIY gifts are always fun and personal. I found a pin on Pinterest with tons of DIY gifts from kids.
9) Video Games
When my husband gets some down time, he likes to blow off some steam by playing Call of Duty. Do some research on the games your guy likes, go through his game collection to see what he already has.
10) Quality Time
Nothing beats quality time with the fathers in your life! Do something special with them to make them feel loved on Father's Day!
Remember! Don't forget to use Ebates when shopping online for cash back rebates at hundreds of stores!
